U‐20 WWC: Falconets secure valuable point in scoreless draw against China
The Falconets of Nigeria secured a valuable scoreless against China in their second Group F encounter at ongoing FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup taking place in Poland.
The Nigerian team tutored by Moses Aduku did well to contain their Chinese counterparts in the gruelling encounter played at the Stadion Sosnowiec on Thursday evening.
China coached by Wang Jun did all they could to unsettle the Falconets with pace in the opening stages of the game but the Nigerian side did well to anticipate the moves of their opponents in the encounter.

The Chinese deployed the same tactics in the second half but the Falconets did all they could to neutralise the threat posed by Asian team with the game eventually ending in a scoreless draw.
The Falconets secured a valuable point in the game and would be hoping to secure a win against New Caledonia which lost 11-0 to Spain with qualification race for the knockout stage remaining highly competitive.
The must-win final Group F game against New Caledonia which will secure the Falconets passage into the knockout stages will be played on Sunday, September 13.
