Aduku impressed by Falconets improvement in China game
The head coach of the Falconets of Nigeria Moses Aduku had reacted to his team’s 0-0 draw against group opponents China at the ongoing 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup taking place in Poland.
The Falconets did well to contain their meandering Chinese counterparts in the gruelling encounter played at the Stadion Sosnowiec on Thursday evening.
China coached by Wang Jun did all they could to unsettle the Falconets with pace in the opening stages of the game but the Nigerian side did well to anticipate the moves of their opponents in the game which eventually ended in a scoreless draw.
Speaking after the match, Aduku said that his team were aiming for a win in the game but the Chinese team showed resilience.

“The honest truth is that we came to win, but I think China also showed some resilience in the game,” Aduku was quoted as saying by FIFA.com.
“It was not a bad game for both sides, but the little chances we created, we could not take them.
“But honestly, I saw improvement in my team from the Spanish game, so we’re getting better. It’s not the result we wanted, but we did not play badly,” the coach concluded.
The Falconets will now be hoping to secure a win against New Caledonia which lost 11-0 to Spain with qualification race for the knockout stage remaining highly competitive.
The must-win final Group F game against New Caledonia which will secure the Falconets passage into the knockout stages will be played on Sunday, September 13.
