Paul Onuachu emerges joint Turkish league highest goalscorer
Super Eagles and Trabzonspor striker Paul Onuachu has emerged as the joint top scorer in the Turkish Super Lig, sharing the golden boot award for the 2025-26 season with Eldor Shomurodov of Başakşehir FK.
The towering striker scored no fewer thab 22 goals in just 29 league appearances for the Turkish club as he delivered an outstanding campaign, thus cementing his place among Nigeria’s finest football exports.
Uzbekistan’s Shomurodov (istanbul Başakşehir) also scored 22 goals in 34 league appearances for his club to share the honors with the prolific striker who has become a cult hero for Trabzonspor.

By emerging as the joint top goal scorer of the Turkish league, Onuachu becomes the 6th Trabzonspor player in the Süper Lig history to achieve the lofty feat.
Onuachu reached his 22-goal tally in just 29 league appearances for Trabzonspor, while Shomurodov took 34 matches to reach the same mark.
