Super Eagles star Onuachu on target in Europa Conference League
Super Eagles star Paul Onuachu scored a goal for Trabzonspor in a 4-2 win over KuPS Kuopio in the Europa Conference League on Thursday.
Onuachu opened the scoring in the third minute from Mohammed Salah’s pass to give Trabzonspor an early lead.
However, Onuachu endured a disappointing end to the encounter as he was forced off in the 10th minute due to injury. He was replaced by Franculino Djú.
Salah increased Trabzonspor’s lead just before halftime.
Three minutes after the restart, Djú made it 3-0 for the visitors before KuPS reduced the deficit through Petteri Pennanen in the 54th minute.
Djú added the fourth goal in the 90th minute to seal a comfortable win for Trabzonspor.
The club’s supporters will be disappointed that Onuachu went off injured due to his importance to the team.
