Amorim issues Chukwueze injury update
Ruben Amorim, the head coach of Italian Serie A football club AC Milan has issued an update on the fresh injury sustained by Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze.
The player sustained a left hip discomfort and strain following AC Milan’s 3-2 win over rivals Atalanta on October 18, 2026.
Chukwueze missed training ahead of Milan’s Europa League match against Bournemouth and is undergoing specialist medical evaluations.
Amorim has now ruled Chukwueze out of the Europa league game against Bournemouth saying the player will be assessed in the next few days to ascertain his fitness levels.

“We will see the starting XI. Gonçalo has nothing serious. Chukwueze is a little bit different. I will see in the next few days. We are going to assess Chukwueze,” Amorim was quoted as saying by Football Italia.
“But if you look at all of Europe, teams with a lot of competitions have a lot of problems with injuries.
“We are trying to make our rotations, we are trying to prepare every player to play the game. Cisse is going to play tomorrow, I already said that. The position, you have to wait until tomorrow.”
Chukwueze is expected to be out for several weeks, with initial club concerns that it could potentially extend longer which adds to AC Milan’s selection issues alongside another player, Alexis Saelemaekers.
