Roy Jones Jr predicts Joshua will ‘take out’ Fury in December
Former American professional boxer Roy Jones Jr has predicted that Anthony Joshua will ‘take out’ Tyson Fury ahead of their much-anticipated boxing showdown set for the month of December.
Jones Jr who is regarded as one of the most naturally gifted and dominant fighters in history disclosed in a interview with iFL TV that he is really not slipping towards either Joshua or Fury to win because both boxers have given a lot to the sport.
According to him, Fury is no pushover and cannot be ruled out in the fight because he is always figuring things out in the boxing ring which makes him a dreadful opponent to face but Joshua has the power to take him out.
“I am really not slipping towards one or the other. I like both guys; I am both guys’ fan. I think that both of them have done boxing a lot of great wonders, a lot of great things and have given boxing a lot of great nights,” he said.

“One thing about Fury is that he has always been that guy who always seems to be able to figure things out. So, I know that he is good at figuring things out, and you have got to lean towards him on that but, at the same time, AJ has the power to take him out,” he said.
Jones Jr who won world titles in four different weight divisions: middleweight, super-middleweight, lightweight and heavyweight also noted that Joshua will win the fight if it is a ‘take-out’ but if its a ‘figure-out’ then Fury will win the boxing match-up.
“So, somebody is either going to get figured out, or somebody is going to take somebody out.
“If it is a ‘take-out’, I think that AJ takes him out, but if it is a ‘figure-out’, then I think that Fury figures him out.” Jones Jr declared.
Both boxers who are former two-time world heavyweight champions are neck-deep in preparations ahead of their blockbuster all-British heavyweight grudge showdown at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, on Friday, December 11, 2026.
