The president of Turkish Super Ligue club, Galatasaray, Dursun Ozbek has vowed not to sell Victor Osimhen this summer no matter how much is involved.

Ozbek who made the disclosure while speaking with newsmen in Turkey said that he will not say yes to the purchase of any player that will be at the detriment of Galatasaray.

‎”I will not say ‘Yes’ to any purchase that will be to the detriment of Galatasaray and will not benefit Galatasaray,” Özbek told Habersarikirmizi.

“What I said for Barış Alper Yılmaz, I am now saying more strongly for Osimhen. No matter how much money it is, I am not selling Osimhen,” he noted.

Ozbek made the comments after two English Premier League clubs, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur both signalled an interest in acquiring the services of the prolific Nigerian international striker.

According to reports, Arsenal have now placed Osimhen as a priority target to bolster their attacking options after an attempt to sign Julian Alvarez from Atletico Madrid became complicated.

Further reports reveal that football agent George Gardi who was the intermediary in Osimhen’s transfer from Napoli to Galatasaray is the one handling the deal to send the player to Arsenal this summer.

The 27-year-old has also responded to the rumours surrounding his future saying that speculation regarding his possible move to another club is expected to come to the fore during the transfer window.

When asked about Arsenal’s interest in his services, Osimhen said; “I’m only focusing on my work. These kinds of things happen during the transfer window, and I don’t know what will happen after that.

“I’m here and focusing on my work, and when the time comes, we’ll see and think about what will come later.”
