Ex-Man Utd boss Amorim takes over at AC Milan
Italian Serie A club, AC Milan has signed Portuguese tactician Ruben Amorim as their new head coach months after he was sacked by Premier League club Manchester United.
Amorim has put pen to paper on a two-year deal until June 2028 with one more season as option, if he significantly improves the fortunes of the club within the time-frame of his contract.
While announcing the appointment of the coach, AC Milan sporting director, Garry Cardinale said that Amorim’s style of play at Sporting is exactly what the club is looking for.
He also stated that Amorim is one of the most prepared and innovative coaches with a clear football identity and a well-defined tactical approach.
Cardinale said; “We’ve been following him for years and his style of play at Sporting is exactly what we are looking for.

Speaking shortly after he signed the dotted lines, Amorim said that he knows perfectly well what AC Milan represents and he can’t wait to start and live every day with the passion that animates the club.
He said; “There are ambitions that accompany you throughout your career and, for me, coaching Milan has always been one of them.
“I know perfectly well what AC Milan represents: history, prestige and extraordinary fans all over the world. It is a challenge that I face with pride and enthusiasm, with full awareness of what these colors mean.
“I can’t wait to start and live every day the passion that animates Milan,” Amorim added.
