Uzoho bids emotional farewell to AC Omonia
Former Super Eagles first choice goalkeeper Francis Uzoho has bid farewell to his Cypriot first division club AC Omonia after sealing a move to Omonia 29is Maiou (also known as ALS Omonia).
The 27-year-old shot stopper took to his official Instagram page on Saturday to pen an emotional farewell to fans after ending a tupsy turvy five-year spell at the club.
In his message, Uzoho said that it was an honour putting on the club’s badge which brings so much unforgettable memories to him as a professional player.
He disclosed further in his message that he hates to say goodbye at this moment and also thanked fans of the club for showing him love right from day one.

“What a journey it’s been for me with this badge on my chest, so much memories. It was an honor to represent this massive club,” Uzoho wrote on Instagram.
“A very big thank you to the fans, the love you guys showed towards me from day one till the last day will never be forgotten.
“I’d hate to say goodbye but it’s not in my hands. I will always love this club. Good bye.”
Uzoho joined AC Omonia from Spanish club Deportivo La Coruna in 2021 and helped them win important domestic and European matches while at the club.
However, Uzoho has faced challenges at the club in recent times which has seen him experience less playing time at Omonia thus forcing him to seek a new playing experience elsewhere.
