Durosinmi relishes scoring in four consecutive games for Genk

Super Eagles striker Rafiu Durosinmi has expressed happiness after scoring in four consecutive matches for his new Belgium club, Genk.

The lanky forward who moved to Genk from Italian club, Pisa, in the summer declared that he is happy with his performance since joining the Jupiler League side.

Durosinmi who opened up in an interview with the media in Belgium disclosed that he couldn’t have achieved his scoring feat without his teammates who have all helped him to adapt to his new environment.

“I feel very good and, above all, I am very happy. This is a good start. The team helped me to score. We have a lot of quality in the squad and when you have a good group, it becomes easier to play,” he  old Het Belang van Limburg.

According to the 23-year-old striker, it has been really easy to settle down at the club because everyone helps each other which makes it easier to settle in immediately.

“Life in Genk is difficult and different from what I am used to, but from my first day I have felt good with this team. Everyone helps each other and that makes it easier to settle in immediately and feel at home,” he added.

Durosinmi who once plied his trade with top Czech Republic first division side Viktoria Plzen, penned a four-year contract with Genk from relegated Pisa.

The player who has now seemingly revived his career in Belgium played 12 matches, scored 1 goal, and provided 1 assist for Pisa Sporting Club during the 2025–26 Serie A season.
