Joshua vs Fury showdown back on the cards, looks set for Cardiff –Hearn
Anthony Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn has disclosed that the much-anticipated fight between his client and compatriot Tyson Fury is back on the cards after the showdown was earlier reported to have been called off.
Hearn who spoke to the BoxingScene on Thursday said that staging the Joshua Vs Fury heavyweight showdown in the U.K. remains “absolutely” in play, with the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, being proposed for the fight on November 28.
Hearn told BoxingScene, “Lots of dates and venues [are] in play. But Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, seems set”.
Reports say that with Cardiff’s Principality Stadium now looking set to be the unlikely winner of the venue war for boxing’s biggest fight – Welsh government could today approve lifting the stadium’s 10.30pm curfew to host the fight which will be staged at 2:00am.

Further reports say streaming partner Netflix “was now OK with the move” after a previous effort to stage the fight at New York’s Madison Square Garden on November 20 to maximize revenue and exposure.
The development comes after the team representing Ukrainian boxer Oleksandra Usyk rejected a backup challenge offered by Fury after he called off his much-expected boxing showdown with Joshua.
Days ago, Fury declared that his proposed November fight with Anthony Joshua is off and instead called out Usyk for a trilogy boxing encounter.
According to reports, Fury’s fight with Joshua stalled over location disagreement with negotiations hitting a roadblock over the venue for the anticipated boxing showdown.
Joshua’s camp preferred Wembley Stadium in the UK, while organizers pushed for the fight to take place at the Madison Square Garden in the USA but the fight is now on the cards again after earlier uncertainty surrounding the boxing encounter.
