Iheanacho expresses desire to stay at Celtic after league, cup wins
Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho has expressed his utmost desire to remain at Celtic after winning the double with the Scottish Premiership club.
The former Leicester City player who made the admission after Celtic defeated Dunfermline Athletic 3-1 at the Hampden Park on Saturday afternoon to win the Scottish Cup said that the club will decide his future.
“I hope I’m still a Celtic player at the start of next season, but I leave that to the club to sort out,” Iheanacho told Premier Sports.
Iheanacho who came off the bench to score Celtic’s third goal of the games and was also on the scoresheet when club won the league last week said that he is happy with what he has achieved with the club this season.

He further noted that the last 10 months has been topsy turvy for him as he initially battled with injuries but he is glad to win two trophies this season.
Iheanacho joined Celtic from Sevilla on a free transfer last season after his contract was terminated by the Spanish club.
The 29-year-old whose future at the club remains uncertain signed a one-year deal at the start of the season with the club retaining the option to extend his contract by another year.
