Ajax closing in on loan deal for Arokodare from Wolves
Dutch Eredivisie top-flight club Ajax Amsterdam are closing on a loan deal to sign Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare from English Championship club Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Reports say Ajax want Arokodare as priority target and are said to be working tirelessly on final details of the deal to bring the lanky striker to the Amsterdam Arena this summer.
Club to club agreement have already been done on a loan deal with an option to buy the former Genk striker for a package slightly over €20 million from Wolves.
The English Championship club will receive bonuses based on Ajax qualification for European competitions with his salary and loan fully covered by the Dutch club.

However, the €22 million buy option clause is not mandatory for the 25-year-old player who is now set to undergo a medical and is ready for a new challenge.
Arokodare chose to pitch tents with Ajax despite concrete transfer interest and bids from Turkish club Trabzonspor and Italian sides Fiorentina and Genoa FC.
The player’s debut season in England was tough, resulting in just 6 goals across 38 appearances as Wolves suffered relegation from the Premier League.
