Haaland winner helps 10-man Man City beat Man Utd at Old Trafford
Erling Haaland scored the only goal as 10-man Manchester City recorded a 1-0 win over rivals Manchester United in a 2026-27 Premier League encounter at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The visitors played over 70 minutes with a man down after Phil Foden was sent off for kicking out at Bruno Fernandes in the 23rd minute.
Haaland scored the winning goal in the 60th minute after tapping in Josko Gvardiol’s low cross.
The strike was initially ruled out for offside before it was awarded after a lengthy video assistant referee (VAR) check.
Fernandes struck the bar twice and Marcus Rashford’s free-kick also hit the cross bar to add to Manchester United’s frustrations.

It was Haaland’s sixth Premier League goal of the season.
It was another disappointing showing from Manchester United, who have just four points from four games to sit in 13th on the log.
