EPL Run-In: Guardiola urges West Ham to beat Arsenal
Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has urged West Ham to beat Arsenal ahead of their EPL game which will be played on Sunday afternoon at the London Stadium.
Guardiola who was relishing his team’s victory against Brentford at the Etihad made the plea after he left his press conference, crossed his arms above his head and said: “COME ON YOU IRONS!”
Man City were able to see off a stubborn Brentford side with second half goals from Jeremy Doku, Erling Haaland and Omar Marmoush to reduce the point gap between them and Arsenal to just two points.
After downing a Brentford side that showed much resilience in the first half of the game, City still have to play Crystal Palace, Bournemouth and Aston Villa while Arsenal face West Ham (today), Burnley and Crystal Palace.
Ahead of Arsenal’s game against West Ham, Guardiola suggested that he will need a favour from Nuno Espirito Santos team against a team which has secured a place in the finals of the Champions League.

He said; “We are fighting with a team in the final of the Champions League without losing a game and have been top of the league almost all season.
“It’s not in our hands now so it depends on them dropping points. I love it. I love to be here [in the title race] again.
“All we can do is Wednesday [against Palace] win again, play the final of the FA CUp and go to Bournemouth — I’d say that is not the best one to go — and Aston Villa so the calendar is demanding.
“It’s just two weeks and the season will be over.” Pep concluded.
