U-20 WWC: Falconets striker Kareem confident of victory against England
Falconets striker Ramotalahi Kareem is confident that the Nigerian U-20 female national team can secure victory against England in the next phase of the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup in Poland.
Kareem who was speaking ahead of the Round of 16 game said that the Falconets are ready for the game against England as they hope to achieve great things now that they’ve made it through the group stage.
The striker who banged in three goals against New Caledonia in their last Group game encounter at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in which the Falconets won by 10-1 promised that her team will fight tooth and nail to win the game against England.
“We hope to achieve great things now that we’ve made it through the group stage. I’m really pleased with my hat-trick. My job is to score goals, and helping the team today made me very happy,” Kareem told FIFA.com.

“We’re ready for the match against England. We’ll prepare as well as we possibly can because they are a strong side. We will give our all and fight to progress to the next round.”
Team coach, Moses Aduku is however threading cautiously ahead of the game against England which will be played in Bielsko-Biala on Thursday, September 17 saying the Falconets need to fix some lapses despite the huge score margin in the win against New Caledonia.
“For us the World Cup is just starting, we thank God for the 10 goals and for qualifying for the next round but like I said for us the World Cup is just starting,” Aduku said.
“We thank God but this one (win against New Caledonia) is done and dusted we look forward to the next game. We had some lapses despite the win but we will go back and take care of it.” The coach noted.
