World Cup: Japan snatch last-minute draw against Netherlands
Japan’s Daichi Kamada scored an 88th-minute equaliser to snatch a 2-2 with Netherlands in their World Cup Group F opener on Sunday night.
Virgil van Dijk gave Netherlands the lead in the 51st minute with a glancing header after the first half ended 0-0.
Six minutes later, Keito Nakamura restored parity for Japan with a low effort to make it 1-1.
Netherlands forward Summerville thought he had earned his country the maximum points with a clinical finish in the 64th minute but Japan fought back again with a late leveller through Kamada in the 88th-minute.
Japan are undefeated in their last three games in the World Cup, their last joint longest unbeaten streak was from 4 June 2002 to 14 June 2002.

Up next for Netherlands is a clash against Sweden on Saturday while Japan face Tunisia on Sunday.
