World Cup blow as thieves steal England equipment ahead of Croatia opener
The camp of the English national team, the ‘Three Lions’ has been thrown into disarray after thieves invaded the site ahead of their opening game against Croatia.
Reports say equipment including; boots belonging to England national team players, World Cup balls and training gear and other important equipment were among the items carted away with by the thieves who are now on the run.
Further reports revealed that the heist was carried out by the thieves while the equipment was being transported from West Palm Beach, Florida, to England’s Swope Soccer Village base in Missouri.

In an attempt to recover the stolen items, the England Football Association is reportedly working with local police to hunt down the thieves and bring them to justice.
The England World Cup backroom staff is now working to determine exactly what has been taken and what equipment remains available at the camp where the team is expected to stay for at least the next three weeks.
Despite the unfortunate setback, Thomas Tuchel’s squad are scheduled to train on Saturday afternoon ahead of the crunchy Group L game against Croatia on Wednesday, June 17.
