Jake Paul reveals potential return date after double jaw surgery
American mixed martial arts fighter Jake Paul has announced plans to return to the sport after recovering from two jaw surgeries following his December 2025 defeat to British boxer Anthony Joshua.
The influencer-turned-boxer earlier hinted at retirement, saying his doctor advised him to refrain from further competition, however, Jake Paul is currently in talks with potential opponents to finalize a date for his return before the end of 2026 or early 2027.
The 29-year-old now claiming he is closing in on his return saying that he and his team are already negotiating with a “couple of opponents” to pin down a date in the coming months.

“[I want to return] very soon,” Paul said on ‘Power Players,’ Live on YouTube. “We’re talking to a couple of opponents now, so hopefully the end of the year [or] early next year for me to get back into the ring. And then I want to get into MMA in the next 12 months or so.

Further reports making the rounds suggests that his promotion outfit, Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), is also set to transition the Professional Fighters League into MVP MMA in the year 2027.
