The stats behind La Liga’s Team of the Season and Barca’s dominance

Six Barcelona players have been named in the 2025-26 La Liga team of the season following a dominant campaign which ended in a 26th title triumph.

The Blaugrana have enjoyed a stunning season in the league, brushing aside other teams in style including Real Madrid.

Hansi Flick’s side won their second consecutive title under the German coach following a 2-0 win over Real Madrid on Sunday which opened a 14-point gap with three matches to go.

The La Liga 2025-26 team of the season was announced on Wednesday, and deservedly, Barcelona domunated.

Joan Garcia, Eric Garcia, Pau Cubarsí, Lamine Yamal, Raphinha and Pedri were acknowledged for their impressive performances. Four of them made it to the starting lineup while Raphinha and Cubarsi took their spots in the reserve team.

Real Madrid produced four in total, with Kylian Mbappe, Aurelio Tchouameni, and Ernesto Valverde making the team of the season, while Thibaut Courtois made it to the reserve team of the season.

Joan Garcia: The Barcelona shot-stopper has been a revelation for the club this season with his impressive performances between the sticks.

He has conceded 20 goals in the league this season, which is the least in the whole division while making 72 saves.

Garcia has played 29 matches for Barcelona in the league and he could add to it with three games remaining.

Mallorca are currently occupying the 16th position with three games to go, the team struggles has not stop the Kosovan forward from banging in the goals.

Unfortunately the goals may not be enough to keep Mallorca in the Laliga at the end of the season, they are only one place above the relegation zone on goal difference.

He scored a sensational hat-trick against Athletic Bilbao earlier in the second.

Muriqi is currently Real Mallorca’s all-time top scorer in La Liga with 55 goals.
