As the transfer season continues to gather momentum, Nigerian players are not left out of the frenzy, as many are attracting interests across Europe and beyond.

‘I can’t wait to get started’– Arokodare says after completing Ajax loan deal
Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare has declared that he cannot wait to get started with his new teammates after sealing a loan move to Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam from English Championship club Wolverhampton Wanderers.
“I’m currently a player of Ajax. Because it’s just an amazing feeling, like I said. I never imagined, but… it’s just an amazing feeling,” the Super Eagles star told the club’s official website.
“There have been so many big names that have played here, so many big strikers that have played for this team that have really represented the team well, and we know about the amazing and huge talents that they can produce.
“So, I can’t wait to get started, get going with the team, with the players, hopefully score some goals, win games and get back to being at the top of the table.” He added.

Club-to-club agreements have already been done on a loan deal with an option to buy the former Genk striker for a package slightly over €20 million from Wolves.
Wolves will receive bonuses based on Ajax’s qualification for European competitions, with Arokodare’s salary and loan fully covered by the Dutch club.
However, the €22 million buy option clause is not mandatory for the 25-year-old player who is ready for a new challenge after an underwhelming sojourn in the English Premier League.
Awaziem seals permanent move from Nantes FC to Konyaspor
Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem has completed a permanent move from relegated French Ligue 1 club Nantes to Turkish Super Lig side Konyaspor.
Awaziem, who previously featured in the Turkish top flight during loan spells with Çaykur Rizespor and Alanyaspor, signed a two-year contract with the Green and Whites.
The 29-year-old versatile player, who will wear the number 15 jersey for the Turkish club in the new season, has represented Nigeria at four Africa Cup of Nations tournaments.
Monza reach €7.5 million agreement with Inter Milan for Akinsanmiro
Italian club Monza has reached an agreement to sign talented Nigerian midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro on a permanent deal from Serie A champions Inter Milan.
The agreement does not include a buy-back clause for the 21-year-old player, but Inter Milan are assured of a 10 percent sell-on clause on any future transfer of the Nigerian.
Akinsanmiro, who was part of Nigeria’s Super Eagles squad to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, endured an uneventful loan spell at Pisa last season, registering one assist in 25 league outings for the club.
Yira Collins Sor set to seal move from Genk to Turkish newcomer Amedspor
Nigerian professional footballer Collins Yira Sor is set to seal a permanent move from Belgian Jupiler League club Genk to Turkish Super Lig newcomers Amedspor.
Genk and Amedspor are reportedly neck deep over a permanent transfer of the player who has one year left on his current contract with the Belgian club, unwilling to renew his deal.
Sor, who began his career at Port Harcourt-based Family Love Academy and later 36 Lion in Lagos, began his European sojourn when he signed for Czech First League club Baník Ostrava in February 2021, before moving to Genk in 2022.
If the transfer of the player sees the light of day, Yira Sor will be joining up with fellow Nigerian Gift Orban at Amedspor after joining from German club TSG Hoffenheim.
