Spain stars dominate World Cup player awards
It was a clean sweep for the Spanish national team as their players dominated the 2026 World Cup awards following the 1-0 win over Argentina on Sunday.
The European Champions ended the tournament with an impressive victory to win their second World Cup trophy thanks to a goal from Ferran Torres.
At the end of the match, Three Spanish players won all the individual awards of the tournament.
Captain Rodri was named the player of the tournament following his key role in their historic triumph.
Pau Cubarsi was named the young player of the tournament while goalkeeper Unai Simon won the golden glove award.

Simon conceded just one goal in eight matches while keeping seven clean sheets in the tournament.
Meanwhile, France captain Kylian Mbappe won the top scorer award with 10 goals after his brace against England in the third place match.
He became the first player to win the World Cup Golden Boot twice after earning the award for top scorer at the 2022 tournament with eight goals.
The Real Madrid forward was the first man to reach double figures for World Cup goals since Gerd Muller for West Germany in 1970.
Mbappe is also the men’s World Cup all-time top scorer with 22 goals – one ahead of Messi.
