PSG beat Aston Villa to retain UEFA Super Cup
PSG earned a 2-1 win over Aston Villa on Wednesday at the Red Bull Arena Salzburg to become the fourth team to win the UEFA Super Cup for the second consecutive season.
The French giants joined the likes of Ajax, AC Milan and Real Madrid to win the trophy back-to-back.
Ajax won it in 1973 and 1974, AC Milan emerged victorious in 1989, and 1990, while Real Madrid coasted home with the trophy in 2016 and 2017.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia gave PSG the lead against the run of play with a superb finish in the 20th minute.

Aston Villa’s teenage striker Brian Madjo restored parity with a thumping finish just before halftime.
The 17-year-old became the youngest scorer in the Super Cup with the effort.
Desire Doue scored a 62nd minute winner from a delightful assist by Ousmane Dembele to hand PSG a deserved victory.
The goal which was first disallowed for offside, was later given after Somali referee Omar Artan confirmed from VAR that Doue was not offside.
The Luis Enrique-led side have now won the Champions League and the UEFA Super Cup for the second consecutive season.
