NFF seals $8.5m Adidas deal to replace Nike
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has reportedly sealed a potential $8.5 million annual deal with German sportswear manufacturers, Adidas to supply kits for Nigeria’s national teams.
The deal which has not yet been confirmed was made known on Thursday by ex-NFF President Ibrahim Gusau who disclosed that the agreement cannot be announced until the current Nike contract is resolved.
According to Gusau, his administration negotiated with Nike for an improved contract but the sportswear giant was unwilling to improve its current deal with the NFF.

The $8.5 million yearly partnership with Adidas include; $4.5 million in cash, and $4 million in its kits for Nigeria’s national teams, plus 20% of sales from Adidas stores in Nigeria.
This agreement replaces the Nike deal worth about $1.5 million annually which has been eroded by currency issues, and revives Adidas past role kitting the Super Eagles from 1980 -1994 and 2004-2014.
