Nations Cup: Super Eagles to face Madagascar on Sep. 23 in Uyo
The Super Eagles of Nigeria will open their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign against Madagascar on September 23 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
The team will also take on the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau on Sunday, September 27 in Morocco on the matchday two.
It would be recalled that Nigeria finished third at the 2025 edition in Morocco, beating Egypt to win the bronze medal.

The 2027 edition will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania for the first time in the history of the tournament.
The Super Eagles have been drawn in Group L alongside Madagascar, Tanzania and Guinea-Bissau.
The Eric Chelle-led side were in action in June when they played Portugal in a game that ended 2-1 in favour of the Selecao.
Nigeria have won the tournament three times with the last triumph in 2013 under the late Stephen Keshi.
