Falcons focused on bagging all three points against Zambia –Kanu
Super Falcons striker Uchenna Kanu has told those who care to listen that her teammates are determined to secure all three points at stake in their next Group C game against Zambia.
Kanu, speaking ahead of the Falcons’ next group game against a ruthless Zambian team that beat their Egyptian counterparts 6-0 in their first group game, said they are taking the remaining games left seriously.
The 29-year-old noted that playing Zambia, which has remained unbeaten in the WAFCON group stage since 2018 is another game, another challenge, and another opportunity for the Falcons to show what they can do on the field of play.

“I think every team is good, and it’s important that we take every game seriously. It doesn’t matter who we’re playing,” Kanu said.
“Playing Zambia is another game, another challenge, another opportunity to be ourselves on the field. It doesn’t matter when they lost or didn’t; we’re focusing on getting the points.”
She expressed disappointment over Nigeria’s first-round loss, but she insisted that the team is making a lot of effort to improve before taking on the Copper Queens.
“About the fans, we all are hurting, but we’re working on the things that didn’t work out in the last game. So we need all the support we can get.” Kanu pleaded.
