Edo Queens star Adegbuyi named WAFU B player of tournament
Edo Queens rave of the moment, Oluwakemi Adegbuyi, was named the player of the WAFU B tournament after she led the team to the trophy on Sunday.
The 16-year-old played a key role in the tournament, scoring two goals and producing a series of impressive performances to earn the Golden Ball award.
She also shone in the final which ended 2-2 in regulation time against Ampem Darkoa before Edo Queens sealed a 4-1 penalty shootout win.

Adegbuyi is a member of the Nigeria’s U-17 women’s national team, and she scored 11 goals for FC Robo during the NWFL Premiership regular season and Super Six playoffs.
She was named the NWFL Premiership Player of The Season before joining Edo Queens at the end of the season.
Edo Queens have now qualified for the CAF Women’s Champions League. In 2024, they finished fourth in the competition.
