De Zerbi says ‘no holiday’ for Tottenham after relegation survival
Tottenham coach Roberto De Zerbi has suggested that there won’t be any holiday for him or his players after the club survived the scare of relegation in the Premier League.
The North London club was caught up in a relegation survival battle with West Ham on Sunday needing just a point against Everton to remain in the Premiership but were able to secure three points with a 1-0 win.
West Ham thrashed Leeds 3-0 with goals coming V. Castellanos (66), J. Bowen (78) and C. Wilson (90+3) but it was little too late as Tottenham secured two more points (41) ahead of West Ham (39) which condemned them to relegation.
De Zerbi who officially took over as Tottenham head coach on March 31, 2026, has now told those who care to listen than there would be no time to go on holiday after the club survived relegation.

The coach who signed a five-year contract to replace interim manager Igor Tudor and help the club navigate a difficult relegation battle in the final weeks of the season said that they need to learn from their mistakes.
De Zerbi said: “We have no time to go on holiday. We have to learn from our mistakes we have done this season”.
“I don’t wanna hear: Now we are happy because we stay up and we forget the past… No, no. Stupid people forget the past!”.
Tottenham now face a critical summer of restructuring with a squad overhaul top of the agenda and plans to secure the future of De Zerbi to avoid another catastrophic campaign next season.
