Brighton coach urges patience with Azeez, says player ‘not ready for action’
The coach of Brighton and Hove Albion, Fabian Hurzeler has urged fans of the club to be patient with Nigerian winger Femi Azeez who is yet to make a competitive debut for the Premier League side after signing from Championship club Millwall.
The German coach who was speaking to the media ahead of Brighton’s UEFA Conference League clash against Jablonec, said that Azeez is still not yet 100% fit to adorn the colours of the club on the pitch of play.
Hurzeler noted that the player’s condition is not an issue at the moment but it is not quite clear how long it will take for him to become fully fit and to withstand the rigours of playing in the EPL every week.
“With Femi, again we have to be patient with him. It’s not quite clear how long it will take. It seems to be not a big issue, but therefore we have to be patient,” the Brighton boss told reporters ahead of his club’s UEFA Conference League game.
