Maresca

Manchester City head coach Enzo Maresca has emerged as the first manager in the English Premier League (EPL) history to win all his first seven games in charge as manager.

The Italian tactician who was once the coach of Chelsea football club set the new record with Manchester City on October 17, 2026, after a 3-2 victory against Ipswich Town.

Maresca has now surpassed the previous Premier League best of six consecutive wins to begin a managerial tenure, which was previously shared by several illustrious coaches who have made a mark in their coaching careers.

He is now ranked ahead of coaches like Carlo Ancelotti (Chelsea, 2009/10), Pep Guardiola (Manchester City, 2016), and Ole Gunnar Solskjær (Manchester United, 2018) who were the previous Premier League best managers to secure six consecutive wins to begin their managerial tenure in the EPL.

During Maresca’s time at Stamford Bridge, he became the first manager since Guardiola in 2016 to win his first three Premier League away games.

He also became the first manager in league history to see his side score six goals in his very first away match (a -2 thrashing of Wolves).
