Coventry City agree £17m deal to sign Taiwo Awoniyi from Nottm Forest

English Premier League  (EPL) club, Coventry City have agreed a permanent deal worth £17 million with Nottingham Forest to sign Super Eagles striker, Taiwo Awoniyi.
 
Club to club agreement is reportedly done for a permanent move and a medical has been completed for the 29-year-old striker.

Reports say Frank Lampard, the coach of the newly promoted club, heavily pushed to secure the services of the forward to lead his attack in the new season.

Awoniyi will now join fellow Super Eagles teammate Frank Onyeka, who moved to Coventry City permanently from EPL club Brentford following a successful promotion campaign.
 
The player who moved clubs after falling down the pecking order at Forest is now expected to make his debut for his new club when they kick off their highly anticipated campaign on August 21 against reigning Premier League champions Arsenal FC.
