China coach Jun hints on likely game plan against Falconets
The coach of the China U-20 female team Wang Jun has given a hint on the likely tactics that will be deployed by his team ahead of their second Group F encounter against the Falconets of Nigeria at the ongoing 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
China crushed debutants New Caledonia 5-0 in their first group encounter at the World Cup, while the Falconets lost 2-0 to the reigning European champions Spain on Monday.
Speaking ahead of their second group match against the Falconets at the Arena Sosnowiec on Thursday, Jun said that China will rely on speed and strength to defeat their opponents.
“During half-time of our first game, we brought on two forward players because, in the first half, we were a little bit in a hurry,” Jun was quoted as saying by FIFA.com.

“But in the second half, we followed our strategy and worked towards our target of victory. I’m happy for Huang and Chen to express their strengths.
“In the next match, we will face Nigeria, and we will try to use our speed to win the match,” the coach noted.
Falconets head coach Moses Aduku has also promised a better performance from his team after their opening group game loss against Spain.
Aduku is confident about his team’s ability to qualify for the knockout stages of the U-20 Women’s World Cup competition taking place in Poland.
Ahead of the game against China which will be played on Thursday, September 10, the coach has promised that the Falconets will correct the mistakes made in the first game against Spain as the team seeks to get its shaky campaign back on track at the competition.
