Ancelotti signs new long-term Brazil deal until 2030
The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has tied down Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti to a new long-term deal, which will see the former Real Madrid lead the Seleção to the next two World Cups.
A statement issued by the CBF on its official X handle (formerly Twitter) on Thursday revealed that Ancelotti has put pen to paper on a deal until July 2030, with another World Cup with Brazil planned following the upcoming one.
“Brazil and Carlo Ancelotti until 2030! Brazil continues under the command of one of the greatest coaches in history!

“Commitment, continuity, and trust to take the Brazilian National Team even further. The journey continues. Our dream does too,” he post on CBF’s X page read in full.
This contract extension ensures that Carlo Ancelotti will lead Brazil through the 2026 World Cup and the 2030 World Cup cycle, aiming to secure their sixth world title.
Ancelotti remains one of the highest-paid national team coaches, with reports indicating a salary of approximately €10 million per year as the new contract makes him the central pillar of the Brazilian team’s project for the next six years.
The CBF’s primary goal is to stabilize the team and win the 2026 World Cup, with the contract ensuring long-term continuity with an aim to move away from short-term managerial changes.
