Forest boss Pereira confirms Aina won’t face Man United
The absence of versatile Super Eagles defender Ola Aina ahead of Nottingham Forest’s Premier League game against Manchester United has been confirmed by Vitor Pereira.
Aina’s unavailability was confirmed on Thursday by manager Pereira while providing an update on his squad’s fitness during a pre-match press conference ahead of this weekend’s encounter.
However, the coach revealed that his team could be boosted with the return of Morgan Gibbs-White, who sustained a significant facial injury against Chelsea, for Sunday’s trip to Old Trafford.
“He started to work with the team today with the mask. “Let’s see,” said the Portuguese.
“It is strange when you use the mask. But I spoke with him, and he said he was OK with the mask, no problem. We will see if he is ready and in condition for the next game.”

Pereira said that Aina, who has failed to recover from an injury he suffered during the Europa League semifinal first-leg game against Aston Villa, will be unavailable for the game against United.
“Murillo is out; Aina is out. At this moment, I think Dan Ndoye and Sangaré will be training tomorrow.
“They are all improving, but I think it’s not the time to take risks. We’ll see; it’s with the medical department now.” The coach told reporters.
Aina, who was not called up for the team’s last away game against Newcastle, is now set to miss four games in a row for Nottingham Forest, which has secured their place in the Premier League for another season following a 1-1 draw with the Magpies on May 10.
