Former Tottenham Hotspur winger Heung Son-Min inspired South Korea to a 2-1 comeback win over Czech Republic at the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America.

The South Koreans dominated the game from the blast of the whistle but conceded a goal in the 59th minute of the second half when captain of the Czech side Ladislav Krejci gave his team the lead in the one-sided encounter.

However after eight minutes of conceding a goal against the opposition, South Korea equalized when Feyenoord defensive midfielder Hwang In-beom scored for his side after he was found inside the 18-yard box by the lively Lee Kang-in, Hwang.

Czech Republic thought they had taken the lead in the 78th minute when West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek nodded home a free-kick from the left but the goal was ruled out for offside after a lengthy VAR check.
