Venezia Coach hails Adams for scoring in win over Napoli
Venezia manager Davide Nicola has showered praises on Super Eagles striker, Akor Adams following his match-winning performance against Napoli on Saturday in a 2026-27 Serie A encounter.
Akor Adams scored the only goal to lead Venezia to a shock 1-0 win over Napoli for their first win of the season.
He capitalised on a costly error from Benoit Badiashile to score the winner four minutes after the restart.
It was a vital win for Venezia having lost their first six matches of the season, while Napoli suffered their third defeat of the season.
Nicola praised Adams for always helping the team, while backing him to keep improving.

He said: “I do not favor discussing individual players. Every player at your disposal possesses quality.
“He [Adams] demonstrates commitment and dedication, he arrived with the intention to contribute, and he possesses several highly significant attributes.
“He is receptive, he demonstrates character, he supports the collective effort. He possesses substantial potential for development.”
Adams joined the club from Sevilla in the summer and he has scored four goals in all competitions, two in the Serie A, and two in the Italian Cup.
He will be hoping to continue his goal-scoring form when Venezia travel to Genoa next Sunday.
