Superb Spain beat France to reach World Cup final

Spain vs France

Spain earned a stunning 2-0 win over France at the Dallas Stadium on Tuesday to book a place in the final of the 2026 World Cup final.

Didier Deschamps made one change for France with Aurelien Tchouameni replacing Manu Kone.

Spain coach Luis de la Fuente stuck with the same team that defeated Belgium 2-1 in the quarter-finals.

The 2010 champions enjoyed an impressive start with an early goal from Mikel Oyazarbal in the 22nd minute from the penalty spot after Lucas Digne fouled Lamine Yamal.

France struggled to trouble Spain with the 2018 champions failing to record a shot on target in the first half as Spain went into the break with the lead.

Pedro Porro added the second for Spain in the 58th with a clinical finish after the French defenders lost concentration.

Spain held on to seal a vital win to book their place in the final of the tournament for the second time in their history. They will take on the winner between Argentina and England in the final on Sunday.
