‘Six more years and forever’ —Vinicius after new Real Madrid deal
Brazilian winger Vinicius Jr has finally extended his contract at Real Madrid for six more years until June 2032 after protracted negotiations to prolong his stay at the Bernabeu.
Real Madrid were forced to raise their offer for the player after 18 months of talks failed to produce breakthrough and are now set to confirm his contract extension despite a mouth-watering deal from EPL club, Arsenal.
The 26-year-old professional footballer always wanted to stay at Real Madrid, and club president Florentino Pérex always considered Vini as key part of the project.
“Eight years at the Bernabéu are so short… six more years and FOREVER, Real Madrid,” the player wrote on his Instagram page after extending his contract.

Reports say Vinicius Junior accepted a salary increase, after tax, from £12.8m-a-year to about £20.5m-a-year with bonuses at Real Madrid, despite it being less than the £25.7m he initially wanted.
Arsenal offered a similar financial package to encourage him to reject Real Madrid’s proposal but the player has now decided to remain at Real Madrid for the next six years.
Vinicius Jr. arrived at Real Madrid in July 2018, at the age of 18. In his eight seasons at the club, he has played 375 matches, in which he has scored 128 goals and won 14 titles: 2 Champions League, 3 Club World Cups, 2 European Super Cups, 3 Leagues, 1 King’s Cup and 3 Spanish Super Cups.
