Reports say Man United reached a verbal agreement with the player after sealing a deal to sing Andrey Santos from Chelsea with the club earlier turning down a deal to sign Éderson from Atalanta last Friday.

The 29-year-old was a standout performer for Aston Villa last season, recording 2 goals and 7 assists across all competitions, and recently captained Belgium during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Manchester United manager Michael Carrick targeted the playmaker as an experienced, plug-and-play solution to bolster his team’s midfield ahead of next season.
