‘I will return stronger’ – Wardley vows after KO loss to Dubois
British boxer Fabio Wardley has vowed to return stronger to the boxing ring after suffering a brutal second-round TKO against his compatriot Daniel Dubois at the O2 Arena in London on October 17, 2026.
Wardley who opened to Ring Magazine for the first time following his devastating rematch loss against Dubois said that there is no shame in losing to a competitor like the one he lost to on Saturday night.
He said that he will go back to the drawing board with his team and will use Dubois as the example of how to bounce back to the boxing ring.

“We’ll go back to the drawing board as a team,” Wardley said. “There’s no shame in losing to a competitor like Daniel. He’s a testament himself to losing, coming back, and I’ll be looking to do the exact same thing.”
During the rematch, Dubois came out aggressive and dropped Wardley with a heavy right hand within the first 15 to 20 seconds. Wardley survived the remainder of the round, though his corner considered stopping it early.
In the second round of the fight, Dubois maintained immediate pressure, trapping Wardley and landing a heavy onslaught of punches forcing Wardley’s trainer, Ben Davison, to threw in the towel to stop the fight.
