Fernandes, Rice, six others battle for Premier League player of season award
Three Arsenal players have been nominated for the 2025-26 Premier League player of the year as they close in on their first title since 2004.
The Gunners trio of David Raya, Gabriel Magalhaes, Declan Rice made the list announced on Thursday by the Premier League.
Manchester City’s duo of Antoine Semenyo and Erling Haaland made the list while Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes was the only Red Devils player included.
Nottingham Forest captain Morgan Gibbs-White and Brentford’s Igor Thiago completed the cast nominated for the player of the season.

The winner will be determined by both a fan vote and a ‘panel of football experts’ and it will be announced next week.
In the manager of the year nominees, Pep Guardiola, Mikel Arteta, Michael Carrick, Andoni Iraoila, Keith Andrews, and Regis Le Bris will slug it out for the award.
