Doma Utd defeat Enyimba to maintain perfect start in NPFL
Newly-promoted Doma United continued their impressive start to the 2026-27 Nigeria Premier Football League season with a 2-0 win over Enyimba at the Pantami Stadium, Gombe on Saturday.
The team maintained their unbeaten start to the season with another stunning performance, making three wins out of three.
Saliq Rilwan the scoring for the hosts in the 32nd minute before Yusuf Fantami added the second goal in the 76th minute to seal the victory for Doma United.
They have now scored five goals and earned nine points to go top of the Nigeria Premier Football League table.
On the other hand, former champions Enyimba have now lost their first two games of the season to occupy the bottom position on the log after playing a game less.

Action continues in the NPFL on Sunday with Niger Tornadoes taking on Plateau United, Barau FC will face Ranchers Bees, Bendel Insurance will battle it out with Kun Khalifat FC.
Abia Warriors will slug it out with Ikorodu City, Inter Lagos and Sporting Lagos will face off in the Lagos Derby at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena Stadium.
It would be recalled the Enyimba endured a miserable campaign last year, battling relegation until the last few games of the season.
The People’s Elephants finished 11th, two points above the relegation zone.
