BREAKING: Arsenal clinch Premier League title after 22-year wait
Arsenal have been crowned as the 2025/2026 Premier League Champions after Manchester City failed to beat Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Tuesday night.
Manchester City needed a win to keep their title hopes alive but were denied three points by a well-drilled Bournemouth team tutored by Spanish coach Andoni Iraola.
Bournemouth took the lead through Kroupi Jnr. in the 39th minute of the game and only allowed Man City a sniff at goal in the 95th minute of the game when Erling Haaland scored from a goal mouth scramble.
Iraola’s team held their nerves till the final minute of the game denying Man City three points and handing the league title to Arsenal with one game left to play in the season.

The 1-1 draw against Man City saw Bournemouth extended their unbeaten streak to 17 league games, a run which has secured European football for the first time in the club’s history.
Mikel Arteta’s Gunners have finally made it over the line to end a six-year trophy drought, after finishing second for the past three seasons in the EPL.
Before the Bournemouth game, Pep Guardiola had lamented the fixture congestion that his team had to go through in the last two weeks saying the Cherries had 10 days to prepare while his team just had three days following City’s 1-0 win against Chelsea on Sunday.
“We’ve had three days (since the FA Cup final). They’ve had 10 days to prepare for the game and they play to qualify for the Champions League, so I think they have an argument to be the best version of Bournemouth, and I’m pretty sure that’s going to happen.” Guardiola said in part.
