Brazil, Morocco secure wins, advance to World Cup knockouts
The Samba boys of Brazil defeated Scotland 3-0 in their final Group C match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup at Miami Stadium thus securing the top spot in Group C and directly advancing to the Round of 32.
Real Madrid striker Vini.jr opened the scoring in the 7th minute by capitalizing on a defensive error by Scottish defence before doubling the lead with a header just before the halftime break.
Manchester United player Matheus Cunha added the third and final blow in the 60th minute of the game following a slick assist from Newcastle midfielder, Bruno Guimarães.
In the other group game, the Atlas Lions of Morocco defeated minnows Haiti 4–2 in a thrilling final Group C match played at the Atlanta Stadium.

In the game, Morocco’s attacking quality overwhelmed Haiti late in the game, securing their spot in the knockout phase as the runners-up of Group C.
In the 10th minute Yassine Bounou conceded an own goal via a Lenny Joseph flick to give Haiti the lead with Achraf Hakimi equalizing in the 39th minute.
Haiti took the lead again in the 43rd minute when Wilson Isidor hit a stunning 31-yard strike to make it 2-1, however, Ismael Saibari scored for Morocco in the 45+1′ to make it 2–2.
Morocco took the game beyond their opponents with two more goals in the 78th minute through Soufiane Rahimi and Gessime Yassine in the 89th minute of the encounter.
