Salah will miss Manchester United clash, says Slot
Liverpool coach Arne Slot has confirmed that talisman Mohammed Salah will miss the Premier League clash against Manchester United on Sunday.
Salah limped out of Liverpool’s 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace last weekend, leading to reports that he may have played his last game for the club.
However, Slot confirmed in his pre-match conference ahead of the clash against Manchester United on Friday that the Egyptian will miss the game, but he is expected to return before the end of the season.
He said: “We expect him to be back in the final part of the season, but not for Sunday.

“In all ways, it’s a big relief that his injury is minor, so that he’s able to play for us, that he’s able to play at the World Cup.
“And if there’s ever a player who deserves to get a big send-off, it’s definitely Mo.”
The defending champions have won their last three Premier League matches to boost their chances of qualifying for the 2026-27 Champions League.
The Dutch manager reiterated the importance of qualifying for Europe’s Premier club competition.
Slot said: “I wouldn’t say a step forward, but it’s the right step to make. We know how important it is to qualify for the Champions League, for any club, but definitely for our club.”
Salah’s absence is a major blow for Liverpool, he has enjoyed an impressive run against Manchester United in the past.
He has scored more goals against the Red Devils both overall (13) and away from home (seven) than any other player in Premier League history.
Manchester United are currently three points clear of Liverpool in the race for Champions League qualification.
The Red Devils won the first leg 2-1 at Anfield thanks to goals from Bryan Mbeumo, and Harry Maguire, it was their first win in 10 years at the stadium.
