Premier League clubs have broken their spending record for the second consecutive year after spending £3.410bn on new players across the division.
Last year, the clubs spent £3.14bn which was a new record and it has been shattered just a year after, which further reinforces the spending power in England.
There have been a lot of big-money moves this summer with four of the most expensive signings in football history happening in the Premier League this summer.
Man City signed Enzo Fernandez from Chelsea in a record deal worth £125m on deadline day, while Chelsea forked out £117m to sign Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa. Man City also splashed £116m Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest.
Liverpool also spent £106m on Bradley Barcola from PSG to continue their spending spree.
The Fernandez deal made him the joint record Premier League signing – level with Alexander Isak from Newcastle to Liverpool last year.
It is also the joint third biggest transfer ever – only behind PSG signing Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in 2017.
Premier League spending has now exceeded £2bn in each of the last five summer windows.

This summer, 38% of deals involving a transfer fee have been from one Premier League club to another, which is an increase from last year, when the figure was 30%.
It is also worthy of note that newly-promoted Ipswich Town spent more money on new players than the likes of AC Milan, Barcelona, Juventus and PSG.
Another newly-promoted side, Hull City signed a whopping 18 players in the summer transfer window as they aim to keep their Premier League status at the end of the season followed by Ipswich (16), Chelsea (13), Brighton (12) and Coventry (11).
Manchester City spent a league-high £440.3m during the window, followed by Chelsea (£342.4m), Spurs (£334m) and Newcastle (£275.2m).
In terms of net spend, Liverpool topped the table with £219.4m, followed by Ipswich (£190.7m), Spurs (£176m) and Arsenal (£136.6m).
Chelsea finished the window £67.3m in profit after generating £409.7m from player sales.
Meanwhile, Brighton shipped a league-high 24 players out on permanent deals, ahead of Aston Villa (23), Crystal Palace (22) and Ipswich (21).

Serie A clubs spent £843.6m, followed by LaLiga (£603.1m), Bundesliga (£507.6m) and Ligue 1 (£490.6m).
Serie A recorded the highest net spend at £267.1m, while Ligue 1 clubs collectively generated a transfer profit of £467m after recouping £957.6m from player sales.
Real Madrid have the highest net spend outside the Premier League at £143.8m, followed by Juventus (£118.2m) and Fiorentina (£104.6m).
