NNL Super 4 resumes as Sporting Lagos face Doma, Inter take on Ranchers
The Nigeria National League Super four matchday two is set to return on Wednesday with two matches at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, Ogun State.
The matchday one produced two goals in two matches with Sporting Lagos earning a 1-0 win over Ranchers Bees while Doma United defeated Inter Lagos 1-0.
Yusuf Fantami was the hero for Doma United as he scored the only goal against Inter Lagos.
Under the floodlights of the Remo Stars Stadium, the Savannah Tigers delivered a disciplined and determined performance, with Fantami’s decisive header proving the difference in a match filled with intensity and late drama.
The breakthrough came from a well-worked attacking move, as Doma United carved open the Inter Lagos defence before Fantami rose highest to nod home with precision, sending his side into the lead.
Inter Lagos were reduced to ten men in the 82nd minute after Adigun was shown a red card for an elbow, and the situation quickly escalated with Doma United’s Kennedy also receiving his marching orders moments later for unsporting behaviour.
Despite the numerical setback on both sides, Doma United held firm in the closing stages to secure a hard-fought victory.
Alex Leme scored Sporting Lagos goal with a glancing header in the 40th minute hand them the maximum points.
On Wednesday, Ranchers Bees will slug it out with Inter Lagos while Sporting Lagos will take on Doma United to determine the frontrunner in the tournament.
Meanwhile, Sporting Lagos coach Buter Jeffrey has revealed that his side will change their approach against Doma United.

He said: “We are not a team with just one game plan or a single approach. So, you should expect us to do something different from our first game.
“We want to rest well before the game and then focus on how we can get a different approach from what we had in the first match.
“Overall, for us, I feel we can do a lot better and improve on what we did in the second half of our first game. Basically, we have to keep pressing until the final whistle.
“We also have to keep our fans in mind, because many of them are here, and they want to see us win. We appreciate our fans. All we can do for them is step up our game and play to make them happy.”
In a related development, Doma United Najib Mabo urged his players to defeat Sporting Lagos to stand a chance of winning the NNL.
He said: “Sporting Lagos won their first match, and we also did the same. So, our match on Wednesday will be very, very tough, and we have to work hard to beat them.
“The two clubs have played in the NPFL before, which means we should respect each other better. Now that we are prepared for them, I believe we will win, by the grace of God.”
The four teams have already gained promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League next season.
