My World Cup heroics has denied me peace, privacy –Vozinha
Josimar Jose Evora Dias popularly known as Vozinha has told those who care to listen that his World Cup heroics has denied him peace, tranquillity and privacy.
The 40-year-old who currently plays for Chilean giants Colo-Colo and the Cape Verde national team declared in a interview with The Observer that fame has become a burden.
Vozinha who became a global Internet sensation and a cult hero following his spectacular performances during Cape Verde’s historic maiden run at the 2026 FIFA World Cup said he wants a situation where things will become normal again.
He said; “I’ve lost my peace and tranquillity. I no longer have any privacy, or at least much less than I used to. Now I go out, I go to a restaurant, and there’s always someone who wants to take a photo with me or asks me for an autograph.
