Joshua floors Prenga after surviving two knockdowns
British boxer Anthony Joshua survived the tactics of hard-hitting Albanian professional boxer, Kristian Prenga to emerge victorious in their much anticipated heavyweight contest staged in the city of Jeddah, in Saudi Arabia.
The two-time heavyweight boxing championship produced a dramatic comeback on Saturday night in the encounter to stop Prenga in the second round after he was knocked down twice in the opening 20 seconds of the contest.
Joshua punched his way back into the boxing bout after Prenga’s earlier threat as he landed a series of devastating right hand jabs which unsettled his opponent, forcing a second round knockout thereafter.
The victory boosts his professional record to 30 wins from 34 fights and extended his winning streak to two, and despite that, Joshua praised his opponent for putting up a good showing.
“He’s a strong guy, and I think Eddie [Hearn] wants to sign him now!” Joshua said after the fight.

“He is going to do well and has a bright future. Maybe with a bit more experience, he will be up there with the rest of us.
“He is strong and durable and gave me a good test, but this is what champions do—we rise. We get knocked down and stand up. That’s life.”
He also used the opportunity to dedicate his win to his late friends Sina Ghami and Latif “Latz” Ayodele, who were killed in a car crash in Nigeria.
When asked about how he has been coping after the incident that claimed the lives of his friends Joshua said: ‘It’s been tough,’ before becoming emotional. ‘That’s my brothers. I don’t want to talk about that.’
The boxer will now turn his focus to a long-awaited all-British showdown with Tyson Fury who also recorded a victory on Friday night, defeating Polish veteran Mariusz Wach in Thailand.
