Iwobi eyes quick return from injury
Long-serving Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi is determined to bounce back from injury following an injury he sustained in an EPL game against Brentford FC.
Iwobi, who has missed recent matches against Aston Villa, Arsenal and Bournemouth, is continuing his rehabilitation as he remains hopeful for a quick recovery before the season ends.
The Fulham FC player who has been a key figure for the team, appearing in 27 Premier League matches this season before the injury, revealed on the Alexander Yaa Digg podcast that recovering from the injury has been mentally challenging.
“I’m walking around my neighbourhood and keeping active to get blood flow into my legs. I don’t want to stay indoors all the time,” he said.

Iwobi, who signed for Fulham on 1 September 2023 on a contract running until 2028, said that it is unfortunate to get a hamstring injury but also noted that such occurrences are part of the game.
“It’s unfortunate to get a hamstring injury. I appreciate everyone checking up on me. I’m able to walk even though I still limp a little, so that’s positive.
“I’m grateful I don’t get injured often because it’s mentally difficult. Right now, I’m frustrated because I can’t move freely or be active, but injuries are part of football,” he added.
